Sebastian Vettel shocked the entire F1 community when he announced his retirement from the sport. The 2022 season was his last ever season, and he had a wholesome farewell during the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix.
However, the majority isn’t convinced that this is the end of Vettel’s time with the motorsport, including Lewis Hamilton, who thinks the German will have a second stint in F1 like Michael Schumacher and Kimi Raikkonen.
However, Vettel isn’t that keen on coming back to the racing part of it. The decision drives from his staunch support towards environmental conservation.

Sebastian Vettel enures his return
Nevertheless, the good news is that Vettel has agreed that he would e returning to F1 at some point time in the future. But surely not as a driver in the paddock for sure. Though, he accepts that it will be weird not participating in any race.
“I’m sure I’ll be back at some point to have a look,” Vettel told Motorsport.com. “I love the sport, I love the people. It will be probably a difficult or weird moment to be there live and not participate. But I guess it’s coming.”
Red Bull chief Helmut Marko has already declared that their former world champion could someday replace him in the advisory role. Surely, the fans would love to have the German scouting and instilling some of the best F1 talents.
Can’t commit to anything
Several F1 journalists have asked Vettel what would he do in his post-retirement life. The German claims that there are multiple things that arouse his interest. However, right now he would not commit to anything.
Currently, he wants to be with his family and make up for the lost time with them due to hectic F1 schedule. His kids are still young and want to be there with them before they grow into young adults.
Maybe for a few years Vettel will remain absent from the sport. However, fans wish to see him back in any capacity. Meanwhile, he is ready to take up some environmental projects to make a better world for the future generations.
Vettel was recently seen during the Autosport award ceremony where he received the Gregor Grant Award. The German had few good laughs on the stage and even mimicked Carlos Sainz.
