Lando Norris Insults ‘Best Friend’ Max Verstappen’s Gaming Skills in Response to Charles Leclerc’s Query

Max Verstappen has often revealed how well he gets along with McLaren driver Lando Norris. In F1, the Red Bull driver considers Norris to be his best friend, but that doesn’t stop the latter from taking digs at him. During a streaming session involving Charles Leclerc, Norris took the best out of an opportunity to troll and insult Verstappen’s gaming skills.

Norris, Verstappen, and Leclerc are all avid gamers and streamers. Norris and Leclerc consider streaming to be fun, where they play several games and interact with fans. Verstappen, meanwhile, is more competitive and focused in the world of sim racing. In fact, as many people claim, Verstappen is one of the best in the world when it comes to sim racing. Another game he is exceptionally good at is FIFA. However, when it comes to shooting games, it seems as though he isn’t as good.

Leclerc was on a stream with Norris where they were playing Call of Duty: Warzone. That is when Norris told Leclerc (and hence the whole world) that Verstappen is not at all good at the game.

Lando Norris reveals Max Verstappen is “no good” at gaming

In a video unearthed by Nini on Twitter, Leclerc was playing a game with his friends, which also included Lando Norris. The young Briton decided to spill secrets of Verstappen, downloading an update of the game and then resorting to complaining about it.

They were playing what appeared to be ‘Call of Duty’ when Leclerc asked Norris if Verstappen was any good at the game. To this, Norris came up with a hilarious response, which of course, was yet another dig at this ‘best friend’ on the F1 grid.

“It’s (Max) Fewtrell, not (Max) Verstappen. Verstappen is not any good at this,” said Norris.

Verstappen and his love for gaming

Max Verstappen is one of the best drivers in F1, and at the young age of 25, he has already achieved more than some of the biggest legends, the sport has ever seen. Off the track, he likes to immerse himself in the world of sim racing and gaming.

Some earlier reports including Insider claim that Verstappen is actually one of the best FIFA players in the world, and spends his time before races by opening packs in the game. As Norris said, however, Verstappen is probably not as good when it comes to shooter games.

Back in the world of F1, no one can question Verstappen’s abilities. The 25-year-old won back-to-back world championships in 2021 and 2022, respectively. As things stand, he is the heavy favorite to retain his crown yet again.
