Lewis Hamilton $14.9 Vegan Burgers Superior to $195 Billion Titan of Fast Food Industry

Promoting his vegan lifestyle, Lewis Hamilton launched his own meat-free burger chain in 2019. Called Neat Burger, the outlet has eight locations in London and recently cut the ribbon in New York.

Having its name associated with the F1 driver, who has an immense following, there was a lot of hype around the brand. However, the question arises: does the food live up to it?

Having recently hit the milestone of a $100 million valuation, the franchise is on an upward trajectory. As fans and vegans head up to test the product, apparently, Hamilton puts his money where his mouth is.

Lewis Hamilton towers over McDonald’s with plan-based patties

A self-proclaimed “meat lover” and reporter from the Sun tested out Hamilton’s vegan burgers, and the experience was stunning. Chisanga Malata goes into great detail about the $14.9 meal he purchased from Neat Burger, unable to tell the difference between the unique mung-bean-quinoa-chickpea formula from actual chicken patties.

Although wary of his decision to skip the safe feeling of a hearty chicken burger, the reporter was adamant about giving it a shot. Surprisingly, he was far from disappointed. “the taste was exactly the same – if not better than most traditional burgers.”

A hard-core McDonalds fan, Malata was now a converted man. “I’m very well placed to say it blows Maccies’ iconic and beloved cheeseburger out of the water – and then some.”

Malata paints a picture of “a tidal wave of flavors” hitting him; the burgers were a thing to behold. Drool-worthy from start to finish, Lewis Hamilton may have aced the game yet again.

Neat Burger’s $10 million milestone a great feat

In a recent report from the Financial Times, the burger chain hit the $100 million mark just months after expanding to the United States. Having received new funding, the franchise raised $18 million in the second round. This group of new investors includes LionTree, a small bank, and Thibaut Courtois, a goalkeeper for Real Madrid.

This funding was part of a round of financing led by B-FLexions, the investment firm of Swiss billionaire Ernesto Bertarelli. Compared to two years ago, Hamilton’s business has grown by an impressive value of 40%.

It has been quite the journey for the restaurant, which started with eight restaurants in London, then one in Dubai, and now one in New York. Just like Hamilton, it is far from reaching a standstill.
