The biggest drama during the Spanish Grand Prix qualifying session was the shove done by George Russell on Lewis Hamilton. The act ultimately affected Russell as he got eliminated in the Q2 of the qualifying session. Though, the 25-year-old was quick to admit his mistake and apologized. But former Mercedes driver Nico Rosberg while speaking to Skysports, claimed Hamilton should do the same.
Hamilton could have lost more but fortunately rescued himself with exceptional reflexes. Yet, he lost his front wing, and Mercedes had to replace it before Q3.

Yet, the former world champion and Hamilton’s biggest nemesis Rosberg thinks that the seven-time world champion was at some fault too. Surely, an opinion that many won’t share in the F1 fraternity.
Lewis Hamilton should apologize, claims Nico Rosberg
Rosberg thinks that Hamilton should apologize as the latter didn’t think about his younger compatriot. As per the German’s observation, it was the last chance to get himself in Q3.
“George apologized, which I think is right, but I think Lewis [Hamilton] also needs to apologize because if Lewis goes through, George’s lap is done,” Rosberg said to SkySports. “Lewis would be right in front and George would be stuck behind him and his lap will be ruined. It was his last try to get into Q3, so Lewis needs to apologize later on.”
However, most of the experts and Russell haven’t blamed Hamilton for his charge against his teammate. But the new analysis also shed some load on Russell.
Even George Russell wasn’t at fault
The incident replays show that Russell focused on the Ferrari ahead, which was running on his right. That’s why he couldn’t see his teammate.
Instead, the 25-year-old was focusing on getting some slipstream from Sainz ahead. But it eventually went the other way.

Nevertheless, the stewards have summoned the Mercedes pair. And after that, a possible penalty could be imposed, but nothing can be said about who will be at the receiving end.
