Lewis Hamilton Receives Valuable Advice From Father Anthony Hamilton After Feeling ‘Uncomfortable’ With W14

Lewis Hamilton has suffered another blow to his championship title dreams in the 2023 campaign as the Silver Arrows returned to the track with a problematic W14. After the first 3 races of the current season, Hamilton has only been able to score 38 points as he stands at P4 in the championship.

The Mercedes star has been chasing his record 8th title ever since the 2021 season but has not even gotten close to it. Entering the current season with high hopes, Hamilton has described the dismal W14 as an ‘uncomfortable’ car.

But the 7x champion has now received valuable advice from the person he values the most in his life. His father, Anthony said, “I keep telling [Lewis]. You gotta love the car, haven’t you? And when you don’t love the car, it’s very difficult. He’s gonna love it soon, I’m sure.”

Anthony has been by his side ever since the Briton started his career. Hamilton has often credited his father for his achievements in the sport and still carries his teachings with him.

Lewis Hamilton does not feel connected to the car

After a long dry run into the race weekends, Hamilton finally clinched his podium with a P2 finish at the Albert Park Circuit this weekend. Despite that, speaking to the media, the 38-year-old revealed that the discomfort in the car remains.

However, the Briton is hopeful about closing the gap to Red Bull after the massive gain at the Australian GP. While there is still a lot that the Silver Arrows has to work towards, Hamilton believes that the podium at Albert Park gave the team a major boost.

Furthermore, he explained that even though this growth is going to be a tough ride, it is not impossible for the Silver Arrows.
