In a world full of extravagance, where he has some influential contacts, Hamilton claims that he hardly uses his phone. He hardly likes to be in constant touch with people in the digital world.

Lewis Hamilton claims he uses the phone only to speak with his aide
In a video released by Sky Sports, Martin Brundle asks whether he communicates daily with his team boss Toto Wolff. The Briton promptly replies that he hardly communicates with anyone.
Bundle then interjects that he has seen Hamilton always on the phone in the paddock. In response, Hamilton reveals that he is in constant touch with only one person. Otherwise, he won’t have any reason to be on his phone.
“The only person I am really communicating back to is Ellen, my assistant for 17 years,” said Hamilton. “Otherwise, my world would stop, basically.”
Though, Hamilton reveals that he mostly talks to Wolff via texts during the race weekends whenever Wolff is away for media obligations. He also claims that a couple of days after every race also sees a spike in interchanging texts.
Extending their alliance
Hamilton’s current contract with Mercedes runs till 2023. But the two parties are already negotiating to extend their alliance ahead of the upcoming season.
The last update by Wolff was that Hamilton’s contract extension is now a formality. Thus, hints that an understanding has been reached, and soon the official word is out, as the new season is fast approaching.
According to several reports, Hamilton will see a significant rise in his earnings. He will also become Mercedes’s brand ambassador for the next 10 years, and that gig alone will pay him $200 million. With this, the two parties will aim to clinch another title soon. Maybe 2023.
