Mark Webber Once Took a Toilet Break and Got in Trouble With the Security of UK’s PM

Former Red Bull driver Mark Webber recalled the time he got in trouble with the security of the UK’s Prime Minister over a toilet break.

While it sounds like a bizarre situation, it is not the first time that the guard of high-profile citizens had to deal with a misbehaving sportsperson.

Although, Webber’s was an quite honest and hilarious mistake. Speaking in the High-Performance Podcast, the 9-GP winner revealed that he had gone to meet former F1 driver Sir Jackie Stewart.

He was busting for a leak and he just picked a misfortune spot for a toilet break.

Mark Webber created a suspicious scenario

Recalling the story, Webber said that it was back in 1997 and he had been invited by Stewart and he didn’t wanna get late. So he just reached the location an hour early and parked his car on the boundary of Chequers.

The Chequers is the official residence of the British Prime Minister, and soon Webber found himself getting escorted outside of the premises.

Explaining the situation, Webber said that he didn’t want to get late for the meeting with Stewart so he had been parked on the boundary for about an hour. Soon he was busting for a leak and he thought that it was dark, it was winter so he’d just get out and take care of his business.

He was parked right on the edge of the field of Chequers. Right after he got into his car, he noticed two heavy-duty guards approaching him and interrogating him.

Nevertheless, he explained why he was there and whom did he wanted to meet and the guards’ concerns were addressed.

Webber frustrates Stewart with his wardrobe style

After getting interrogated by the guards, Webber had his meeting with Stewart and their relationship continued.

Although, as it happens, the Briton is not a fan of Webber’s wardrobe. The Australian revealed that Stewart gets frustrated by how Webber dresses himself up.

“He’d like me to be more polished! I’m not a big fan of uniforms,” he added.
