Max Verstappen is arguably the best driver in F1 right now. He rose through the ranks at a very early age, having made his F1 debut at Toro Rosso when he was just 17. The very next season, he joined Red Bull and became the sport’s youngest-ever race winner, and since then, everything has been on an upward trajectory for him.
Verstappen had to spend a few years in the shadows of Mercedes and Lewis Hamilton, but in 2021 he created history by becoming the first Dutch driver to win the World Championship. His close tussles with Hamilton throughout the course of the season and the dramatic end to the season finale will live long in the memory of fans.
In 2022, he created even more history by dominating the entire season. He won 14 races last year, which is the most won by a driver in a calendar year, on his way to securing his second consecutive drivers’ Title. He is the most in-form driver in the sport and heading into the 2023 campaign, it is likely that he will compete for the World Championship once again.

Max Verstappen and his dedication for sim-racing
Verstappen has admitted on multiple occasions that he loves sim-racing. He is an avid fan of virtual racing and spends hours on his simulator which he also uses as a means of training for real-life races. The Dutch driver is very committed to his e-racing team, which is known as Team Redline.
In fact, it seems that his $35,000 setup is one of (if not the most) the most prized possessions in his house. Team Redline’s co-owner Atze Kerkhof revealed in an interview just how much Verstappen loves his simulator setup.

According to Kerkhof, Verstappen spends most of his time in the sim setup which is in the corner of his house. He adds that it’s the only part of his home where no one touches anything and that as soon as he’s back, he treats the corner like his personal gym.

While moving houses, Verstappen left his setup untouched until last moment
On social media, a picture of Verstappen sitting on his sim racing set up went viral recently. While the setup looked all lit-up and nice, some people noticed that the rest of the room was looking somewhat empty in the picture.
Team Redline’s boss revealed that he was actually moving to a $16 million apartment when the picture was taken. Thus, his previous was being emptied. However, his simulator setup was the last thing that he had removed, after moving everything else from his home. This is because the 25-year-old wanted to concentrate only on giving his best for the team until the very last moment when he had to momentarily give it up.
