Even though Verstappen loves racing, he does not believe that an F1 driver has the best quality of life. Verstappen had commented that there are various other things that he would love to do apart from Formula 1 during his peak years.
Max Verstappen will not look back at his success after he retires
In an interview with CNN Sport, Verstappen explained how he doesn’t plan to look back on his life in Formula 1 after he is done with it. Despite being a multiple-time World Champion, Verstappen claims, “Once I’m done with Formula One, I want to just enjoy my life and do other things and then what happened in Formula One is done.”
He explained further, “It’s not something probably I will look back to when I’m 60 or 70.” Verstappen said that his plans include managing his team, but he would not want to be a team principal in Formula 1.

Verstappen already has his team, namely the Verstappen.com team. “So hopefully, in a few years, we could see something coming out of that,” claims the Dutch racer. As for not being an F1 team principal, Verstappen made it clear that he has had enough of traveling as a driver, and he does not want to do it again as a team principal.
Max Verstappen’s plans
Verstappen already made it clear in 2019 that he has a knack for endurance racing and would love to participate in the 24 hours of Le Mans. As per Motorsport.com, Verstappen claimed that he would want to participate in Le Mans alongside his father Jos.
As for the other forms of motorsports, Verstappen has also given a definitive answer on whether he would want to participate in Indycar racing across the pond in the States. According to Racingnews365, Verstappen said, “Me driving the Indy 500? Absolutely not. I might go there and watch, but not race.”
There are quite a lot of avenues open for Verstappen to explore once he hangs up his racing gloves. However, F1 fans can rest easy knowing that Verstappen would be in F1 till at least the end of the 2028 season.
