Painful to Watch, Teary-Eyed Lando Norris’ Three-Worded Statement Finds Support Amid Heavy Trolling

Lando Norris has so far had a difficult weekend at the Qatar Grand Prix. First, he had his lap time deleted during Friday’s qualifying which dropped him from second to tenth on the grid for the main race. A day after he had a disappointing sprint race as he finished third, while his McLaren teammate Oscar Piastri won. Since Piastri registered a win before Norris, several fans took to social media and trolled the Briton. Soon after, Norris issued a three-worded statement during his press conference to explain why he has not been good enough this weekend.

When asked if there was any particular area he was struggling with this weekend, the 23-year-old replied (as quoted by crash.net), “Nothing just lack of talent. I guess everyone has those weekends. This is the weekend for me. It’s just a shame I’m doing it when the car is as quick as it is, so that’s what makes it more frustrating. It was very tough. Any chance to go backward I pretty much took“.

Fans come out in support after Norris gives his emotional interview

Soon after Lando Norris blamed “lack of talent” for having a difficult weekend at the Qatar Grand Prix so far, several fans came out in support of him. Fans such as Ajla stated that while they are not a fan of the 23-year-old, it was “painful to watch” the Briton during the press conference.

Meanwhile, fans such as Molly hope that Norris stops “being so hard on himself” as he is “having an amazing season” and is extremely “talented“.

Then, there were some other fans who expressed worry for Norris. After looking at how Norris gave his response during the press conference, the fan believes that the McLaren driver is currently “in a really bad place right now“.

Lastly, there were also fans like Morgan who believe that Norris will someday have his car parked in the world championship spot.

Lando Norris also seemed distraught during his interview

Lando Norris not only expressed his frustrations with himself during the press conference but also in his interview after the sprint race. The Briton explained how he was unhappy with himself for making the number of mistakes he has so far this weekend.

When asked if his feelings were better after the sprint race as compared to after Friday’s qualifying, Norris replied, “Nah. The frustrations of the last two days, they take over everything you know. I think of the negative things way more than the positive things“.

The 23-year-old then added that the only person he is unhappy with is himself, but when it comes to McLaren and his teammate, Oscar Piastri, he is very happy. However, Norris did admit that it is not the “nicest feeling” to see the Australian register a win before him.
