Pitchforks Rise Against Sergio Perez for Terrorizing Alex Albon and Yuki Tsunoda: “Doesn’t Deserve to Be In Red Bull”

The Singapore GP turned out to be extremely disappointing for Red Bull, who found themselves out of the top three for the first time in 2023. It was even worse, especially for Sergio Perez who started from P13 and finished P8. To add to that, his race was marred by a couple of aggressive moves that have brought the wrath of the fans upon him.

Things got off to a fiery start on lap 1 when Perez and Tsunoda were fighting for P12. The AlphaTauri driver, starting from P15 had put on some amazing moves and made his way into P12 before Perez crashed into the side of his car. The damage sustained meant that Tsunoda could not carry on for longer and had to retire from the race.

Things got worse for Perez when he rocked up behind Alex Albon who was running in the points on lap 58. The Red Bull driver decided to go for a gap that didn’t exist and crashed into Albon, demoting him to P14. Perez, meanwhile managed to finish his race P8.

Sergio Perez comes under fire from Albon and Tsunoda fans

Fans were absolutely vexed at Perez and X user Leo even questioned his place in F1.

An Albon fan commented that Perez was nothing but a disgrace to the sport.

Another fan of Albon claimed that Perez is public enemy number one at the moment for them.

Some of the fans also spoke out against the incident that the Mexican driver had against Tsunoda.

X user Wicked also claimed that Perez should not be a part of F1, making it clear just how angry fans are with the former Racing Point driver right now.

Liam Lawson a possibility to replace Perez?

Perez definitely did not help his cause with his disastrous Singapore GP. Amidst speculations that Red Bull might not stick with him in 2024, another poor performance will certainly not help him in any way.

To add to that, Liam Lawson, who has come in to AlphaTauri to replace the injured Daniel Ricciardo, put in an extremely strong performance at the Singapore GP. He managed to claim his first F1 points in only his third race. This lead to even more speculations surrounding Perez’s future. Many fans claim that he should be considered for the second Red Bull in the near future.
