"Sebastian needed one thing above all"- Toto Wolff explains why Ferrari exit is blessing for Sebastian Vettel

“Sebastian needed one thing above all”- Toto Wolff explains why Ferrari exit was necessary for Sebastian Vettel, as he joins Aston Martin.

Former Ferrari superstar Sebastian Vettel for the first time in his career would be driving a car running on Mercedes’ power unit- Aston Martin. The outfit owned by Lawrence Stroll is closely associated with the reigning champions.

Toto Wolff, who is currently leading Mercedes, has commercial interests in Aston Martin and recently in an interview with RTL, he talked about Sebastian Vettel’s appointment at Aston Martin.

“Sebastian needed one thing above all, and that was a change of scenery. When you get more and more into a negative spiral, you have to bring a change. That’s what he did. He is now in a completely different environment,” said Wolff.

Thus, implying that it was a boon for Vettel to leave the Italian Formula 1 team. He also stated that largely Vettel was not responsible for his losses in 2020 in Ferrari, rather the environment was hostile.

“I don’t think he didn’t deliver, and it was the general conditions that got worse and worse or the teamwork that was disrupted. I expect a lot from Sebastian this year.”

Sebastian Vettel in a new avtar

This week, the German race driver appeared at Aston Martin’s factory, and many were surprised to see him in an unusual hairstyle, comparing him to even Prince William for the similar hairline.

Certainly, fans were surprised with this new look, but eventually, all will get used to it, just like his blonde look, then that moustache he grew.

Though it is hard to tell what happened to his hair, they looked normal a few months ago.
