Sebastian Vettel Compares Driving Car To Relationship With His Wife

Sebastian Vettel is one of the greatest F1 drivers of all time. The German legend established his status as an all-time great during his Red Bull stint, where he won four back-to-back World Championships. Vettel went on to drive for Ferrari and Aston Martin in his career thereafter, before finally retiring at the end of the 2022 campaign.

However, throughout his time in the sport, he went on to become one of the biggest stars. As his career progressed, he became a particularly strong personality off the track. His habit of talking about social causes and using his status as a platform made the entire F1 community become Vettel fans.

Despite not winning the World Championship after leaving Red Bull in 2015, Vettel remained one of the best drivers on the grid until the very end. He certainly seems to know his way around an F1 car, and even used an interesting analogy to compare it to being in a relationship.

Driving a car is like being in a relationship, says Sebastian Vettel

During an interview with BILD back in 2019, the former Red Bull driver shared his thoughts on different topics during a Philip Morris dinner in Monaco. When the time came for him to talk about his love and understanding of cars, the Heppenheim-born driver compared it to being in a relationship.

“That’s a bit like relationships,” he said. “Be nice here and have an evening with the boys, without being misunderstood.”

There were also other things Vettel revealed during his interview. He explained what things he loves to engage in outside of F1 and as expected, it included other forms of motorsport. Vettel admitted that he’s a huge fan of all things with engines. He also mentioned how much he loves motorbikes.

“Of course I like everything where an engine is involved,” said Vettel. “But I also like taking one my motorcycles and just driving around.”

Vettel also stated that he stays in touch with nature, which leads him to go for hikes and treks very often.
