Sebastian Vettel sings farewell song after end of Abu Dhabi Grand Prix

Sebastian Vettel sings farewell song for Ferrari team in Abu Dhabi after his last race for them, with him joining Aston Martin in 2021.

Sebastian Vettel had his end to the time at Ferrari and the German driver gave an emotional goodbye to his teammates by singing the farewell song.

The song he was singing was Azzurro, a famous Italian song by Adriano Celentano, which is about about a man thinking of taking a train to see his loved one.

The rough translation of the song in English “You know I like to sing sometimes, so I thought I’d sing you a song for the last time…wait… You’re the red team, passionate, [you’ll never] give up, my stop is coming up,

“I loved being with you. I felt your magic, an extraordinary feeling, boys, I thank you for having me, I’ll miss you, a greeting to all of you in Maranello,”

“You deserve [to be] mentioned here, and now I maybe maybe (part of the original song) will say goodbye, and I wish the best for you, I wish you’ll be happy and even more you’ll be healthy.”

Laurien Mekies, the race engineer of Vettel was overwhelmed and said: “Thanks Seb, we’re the ones thanking you from the bottom of our hearts for everything you’ve done.”

“It wasn’t the season we wanted but we can’t forget these 6 years together. Thank you from the bottom of our heart from everybody in Maranello and here on track.”

“Thank you from the bottom of my heart, thank you, all the mechanics, the whole garage, men like Fabio, Mimmo, Manu, Giovanni, Marchi, Pareselli, everyone else laughs… I’m sorry, Filippo… you’re the team. You’re Ferrari.” replied Vettel.
