Toto Wolff Has Placed His $2 Million Ferrari F40 Up For Sale

Aiming to sell an entire collection of Ferraris and a few other rare cars, Mercedes boss Toto Wolff has placed his Ferrari F40 up for sale. Wolff began his ambition of selling cars a year ago. Since then, he has parted ways with his 2003 Ferrari Enzo and a LaFerrari Aperta.

Now his F40 is up for sale through the renowned high-end car sales expert Tom Hartley Jr. The car has only been run for 5,500 kilometres and is Ferrari Red Classiche certified. This means that it still has its original chassis, body, engine and gearbox and is in near-mint condition.

With it being one of the greatest Ferraris ever, collectors are always keen to get their hands around it. This leads to the ever-increasing price of the car. With Wolff’s F40 being in mint condition, its value is expected to be almost or upwards of $2 Million.

What’s special about the Ferrari F40?

The F40 was in production between 1987 to 1992. It was designed to celebrate the 40th anniversary of the Italian giants and was also the car to get personal approval from the one and only Enzo Ferrari.

At the time, it was the fastest, most powerful and most expensive vehicle in the market. Initially, the production was planned to be limited to 400 units. But instead, a total of 1,311 units were produced, of which 213 were available in the United States.

Toto Wolff wants to remain realistic about the 2023 car

Mercedes fell behind by a lot in the 2022 season, with the W13 lacking a lot of performance. Over the season, though, the team found some solutions to their problems with the car.

And while the Brackley-based team remains optimistic about heading into the 2023 season with a better car, Wolff concedes that the team needs to remain realistic in their approach.

He said that the if the team can achieve its targets for the upcoming season, there is no wrong in saying that the team will be able to take its fight to the top of the grid.
