Valtteri Bottas made his debut in F1 with the Williams F1 team in the 2013 season and he stayed with the team until the 2016 season.
After Nico Rosberg announced his sudden retirement from the sport after winning his championship title in 2016, Mercedes signed Bottas to team up with Lewis Hamilton for the 2017 season.
In his first season with the Silver Arrows, Bottas secured three wins and secured 305 points placing himself P3 in the championship standings.
As his stint with the team progressed, Bottas secured an overall 10 wins of his career with the team. The Finnish driver helped the team secure its constructors’ titles five times until the 2021 season.
In his time together next to Hamilton, Bottas could never pose a threat to the Mercedes star in his run for titles with the Briton being too consistent in his races.
Bottas ended his spell with the Mercedes F1 team at the end of the 2021 season. He decided to move to Alfa Romeo from the 2022 season taking a seat next to rookie driver Zhou Guanyu.
