In recent developments, footage of a Pagani Zonda 760 LH crashing into the wall heavily surfaced on the internet and the fans have gone ga-ga over it. The car was formerly owned by none other than Lewis Hamilton and had a staggering $11,000,000 price tag on it. Therefore, the hype regarding this is understandable.

The entire incident came to light after a dash camera video went viral on X, formerly Twitter. Notably, this is the second time the specially modified for the seven-time world champion car suffered a crash.

One can’t say if the Zonda was any other car, and not Hamilton’s car, how much it would have gained public interest. But since it once belonged to Hamilton, the video of it surfaced like wildfire.

How did the Zonda crash?

The video shared by Peter Powell showed the Zonda speeding past their car and going into the tunnel. However, in the first few seconds, it was all normal, but then it was found that the Italian car rammed the wall at a high speed.

Upon seeing the car, a lady screamed on the video as they slowed down to look at it. Following the high-speed accident, the Zonda driver pulled the car by the right-hand side, while the other cars stopped slowly, as well.

Even though the damage to the car is still unknown, it is understood that it suffered a heavy crash. The repair cost might eclipse hundreds of thousands of dollars but the owner luckily escaped unscathed. Despite everything, Hamilton never liked the car anyway.

Hamilton sold the Zonda he hardly liked

Lewis Hamilton purchased the purple Pagani Zonda for $1.6 million in 2015. It was a specially modified car for him with LH as its credential. It was the Mercedes driver who crashed the car first after he rammed two parked cars that year itself.

He blamed it on heavy partying and not enough rest. Furthermore, he also revealed that it had a great sound, but handling wise it was the worst car he has driven. But in the end, he sold the Zonda for around $11 million two years back.

Admittedly, the 38-year-old is a big-time car enthusiast. He has a host of cars from Ferrari to McLaren to Mercedes, and the list is long. Even though he does not have a favorite car, the 1966 Shelby 427 Cobra is his most prized asset and it costs anywhere around $5 million.
