Ahead of the Saudi Arabian GP, Lewis Hamilton parted ways from his closest ally and physiotherapist Angela Cullen. The duo spent seven years by each other’s side as Cullen had been a vital part of Hamilton’s career.
The duo was often pictured together as the New Zealander assisted the Briton during the race weekends. Hamilton and Cullen also accompanied each other on vacations and maintained a close relationship. They even had the word “loyalty” tattooed on them.
So the news of their split took the F1 world by shock and led to multiple speculations about the reason. But nothing solid was presented either by Hamilton or Cullen. The 7-time world champion had announced the split through an Instagram post and had wished the 48-year-old the best for her future endeavors.
Ahead of the Australian GP though, the Briton has opened up on his relationship with Cullen saying that they are still in close contact. He said, “Angela is living her life right now.”

Ever since the split, Hamilton has been questioned about Cullen’s whereabouts and their relationship. Earlier, the Briton had refused to open up about anything related to this topic.
But ahead of the Australian GP, the Briton revealed that the duo is in constant touch and even has plans. “We are still going to skydive together. We are always going to be in each other’s lives,” he said.

Hamilton reveals Cullen’s replacement
Hamilton had been spotted doing his race weekend chores alone after splitting with Cullen. The fans have been curious about the New Zealander’s replacement.
Speaking at the Media pen on the first media day of the Australian GP, the 38-year-old said, “I have got one of the guys, Stevo. He has been with me since my first race with McLaren, and is helping me out as well.”
Furthermore, the 7-time world champion explained the importance of having a physio. He spoke about his dear friend Aki Hintsa who had been supporting the champion in the early stages of his career.
“It’s an incredibly challenging role for anyone in those positions. It’s a lot of traveling, and a lot of time away from family. You grow incredibly close together – during your weekends or where you’re traveling, it’s usually you or your trainer or physio. It’s incredibly intimate in that sense – you become great friends,” he added.
