F1 grid for Styrian GP Raceday
The front row of the grid today will be taken by Lewis Hamilton and Max Verstappen, as the former took the pole position after a monstrous final lap in rain-drenched qualifying. McLaren’s Ferrari-bound driver Carlos Sainz will start 3rd on the grid, followed by last weekend’s winner Valtteri Bottas.
Daniel Ricciardo will start 8th, making a comeback after he crashed in FP2. Lando Norris will start 9th, after a 3-place grid penalty.
Further down, the Ferrari duo of Sebastian Vettel and Charles Leclerc will start in 10th and 14th respectively. The Ferrari is still struggling, and it remains to be seen if they can get something out of it today.
The surprise of yesterday’s qualifying is Williams’ George Russell, who has done incredibly well, and will start in 11th, and would be eyeing potential championship points today.
The practice sessions and qualifying have been pretty exciting, with Mercedes duo Valterri Bottas and Lewis Hamilton to line up in the front row of the grid today.
