Jenson Button needs no introduction if you were an F1 fan in the 2000s. The Brit is the infamous 2009 World Champion who drove the newly formed Brawn GP formed out of the ruins of Honda’s racing team producing one of the most iconic seasons in the sport’s history.
Button is also known to be a wet weather expert. And his drive in the rain-soaked 2011 Canadian GP probably remains one of the greatest race victories.
The former Williams, McLaren, Honda and Brawn driver needs no introduction. But the driver also shares a seven-time Grammy Award winner as his doppelganger.

Jenson claims he regularly gets mistaken for Coldplay’s lead singer Chris Martin. The former World Champion claims he used to be regularly handed Coldplay albums and memorabilia by fans for autographs.
The Brit regularly jokes about his close resemblance with the musician. And Button is used to breaking the news to the fans that he was a racing driver and not a musician.

An American family once confused Jenson Button for Chris Martin
Jenson Button revealed that he has been mistaken for Chris Martin plenty of times. And one incident that the 2009 World Champion reflects on was when an American family approached him in London in 2013.
Button recalls, “An American Family up to me at the Heathrow airport a few months back and she said ‘I and my family are big fans of yours’.” Button was pleased to meet the fan and greeted them.
During this time, F1 was not as popular as it is now in the United States. So the Briton wondered how come fans from the states identified him.

Right when he was about to point out, the fan said, “We’ve got all your records, all your albums.” And that’s when it struck Jenson that the fans had confused him with Coldplays’s lead singer.
Jenson laughed out and informed the family that he wasn’t the $160 Million Popstar. But in fact, was a Formula One driver.
Button claims the family told him they were fans of his but he didn’t believe it. He said, “When I told them who I was, they said they were still big fans… although I don’t think they knew who I was!”
Button and Marin’s close resemblance is quite a tale as many fans have pointed out on Social media. But the American family would have a tale to tell about how they met an F1 driver!
