Fans call for Scott McTominay to be made United captain after his video goes viral. The midfielder had a brilliant match vs Chelsea last night.
Despite their last 3 wins in 3 separate competitions, Manchester United are still a club in crisis. The Red Devils, who once ruled England, are still finding their way back to the top. However, the club has found very little success so far.

The boys in Red though, have pulled their sleeves up to launch a 4-match unbeaten run starting from the gutsy 1-1 draw against Liverpool. The match at Old Trafford bought Liverpool’s winning streak in the Premier league to an end.
After victories against Partizan and Norwich in the Europa and Premier league, United won their 3rd match in a row after beating Chelsea for the second time this season. Their 2-1 victory ended Frank Lampard’s run of 7 consecutive victories in all competitions.

He has soaked up a lot of pressure in the absence of Paul Pogba and has certainly improved a lot. However, a clip from the match last night has gathered a lot of attention. Even though he’s only 22, many are now asking McTominay to be given the armband.

With the game in extra time, Manchester United were in the lead. A few quite minutes were enough to ensure their passage to the next round. Scott McTominay was in no mood to squander the lead as he screamed his lungs out asking others to get back in position.

Technique can be taught on the practice grounds but there are no classes for heart and passion and McTominay seems to have buckets full of both. Many comparisons were made to Roy Keane who also wore his heart on his sleeves.

The young midfielder may not quite be ready to lead a club like Manchester United yet though. However, he seems to have the club’s DNA and could very well transform into a leader in the future if he keeps performing like this.
