Tennis stars describe Rafael Nadal in a word as the Spanish star celebrates his 32nd birthday.
Spain’s legendary tennis star is celebrating his 32nd birthday. Nadal is currently playing French Open, where he will compete in the Round of 16 match tomorrow. The Spanish star will aim for his eleventh French Open title.
Widely regarded as one of the greatest tennis players of all time, Rafael Nadal has won 16 Grand Slam titles, which include 1 Australian Open, 10 French Open, 2 Wimbledon and 3 US Open titles. He has also won a record 32 ATP World Tour Masters 1000, and a record 20 ATP World Tour 500 tournaments. In addition, he also bagged an Olympic Gold in men’s singles in 2008.
The king of clay is second only to Roger Federer in Grand Slam’s titles, when it comes to men’s tennis.
Rafaek Nadal celebrates his birthday today, and Tennis TV posted a two-minute video as a tribute to the legend. The video included many Tennis stars, including Roger Federer and Novak Djokovic. They were all asked to describe Rafael Nadal in a word.

Roger Federer used the word “intense”, Marin Cilic described the Nadal’s personality as “fierce”. Rafael Nadal and Novak Djokovic have had many face-offs, and the Serbian star described the 32-year old Spaniard with the word “respect”.
The video also included some of Nadal’s most gruelling tennis rallies with Roger Federer, Novak Djokovic and Nikolay Davydenko.
Rafael Nadal leads with the most number of French Open titles, and will aim to further add one more to the tally. He will play his RO16 match against Maximiliam Marterer of Germany.
