Fixing allegations hike up as Hotstar’s IPL 2018 Final promo leaks

Fans alleged the IPL 2018 Final of being fixed after Hotstar’s promo for the IPL final got leaked.

Recently, Hotstar’s promo of the IPL finals got leaked and was circulated on the social media which created a lot of outrage. The video got viral in a short time and invited allegations that the IPL Final is fixed.

The video comprises of an advertisement surprisingly showing the finals between Chennai Super Kings and the Kolkata Knight Riders. This comes as a shock at a time when the second finalist is yet to be decided.

While Chennai Super Kings have already made it to the finals after defeating Sunrisers Hyderabad in the Qualifier 1, Kolkata Knight Riders defeated Rajasthan Royals in the Eliminator. They will now lock horns with Sunrisers Hyderabad in the Qualifier 2.

As the video depicted Chennai Super and Kolkata Knight Riders clashing against each other in the finals, people accused the IPL of being fixed. Their logic was that how come Hotstar had already prepared the ad before the finalists were actually determined.

The flip side to this is that the company may have made the video keeping in mind all combinations that could clash on the big night so that they could use it as soon as things fell in place.

All the same, Twitterati went on a swing as they accused the IPL final of being fixed.
