The Everton defender was clearly taken over by emotions on the day

Looking headed for a 3-2 defeat when they took on Manchester United on Saturday, Everton refused to give up till the very last minute. Their resillinace and perseverance ended up yielding colossal results for them as the side hit back in 90+5 to salvage a draw from the encounter.

However, the visiting managed to hit back right in the tailend of the affair. With Harry Maguire playing Dominic Calvert-Lewin onside, the striker ended up scoring the club’s third to add to his assist for Abdoulaye Doucoure’s opening goal for the side.

And it was only prudent that the side erupted in jubilant celebrations upon levelling the scoreline. Defender Ben Godfrey was clearly the most worked up over the 3-3 draw as he levelled a F**k off!” towards Manchester United’s players as Everton’s players got in a huddle to rejoice the strike.


Godfrey was preferred to partake in his side’s backline in the CB role as Yerry Mina ended up missing out. And the player put in a solid shift as well, parrying away everything thrown his way as he closed the ball with ease.

The draw for Everton was the side’s fourth unbeaten result in their last five encounters. The club are currently in the Europe League spots with the team moving into sixth spot with the draw.

Elsewhere, the draw for Manchester United further wreaked havoc on their plans of launching a serious title challenge. The club is currently two points behind league leaders Manchester City who have the two additional matches to contest in.
