Footballers ranked from GOAT to OVERRATED in a list where few top footballers across all generations are placed in a variation of GOAT to overrated.
Barcelona star Lionel Messi and his long-time rival Cristiano Ronaldo are often a subject of debates, where the fans of respective players try to prove, which one out of the two is better.
in this process, the list has also shown its preference between Messi and Ronaldo, as it has placed the Argentine star alone in the GOAT category, declaring him the best player in the history of football.
Meanwhile, Ronaldo, who himself claims to be the best player in the last 20 years has been placed in the category of Legends, a notch below to GOAT category. The Portuguese international found himself along with Ronaldinho, Diego Maradona and Johan Cruyff etc.
Other world-class stars and former superstars featuring below the legends include Steven Gerrard, Ryan Giggs, Didier Drogba and Robin van Persie. Further, a category of underrated players was also created, including those, who have not received enough praise as they deserved.
Bayern Munich legend Arjen Robben is included alongside the likes of Manchester United all-time scorer Wayne Rooney, Barcelona’s Sergio Busquets and Tottenham Hotspur’s Son Heung-min.
However, in this list, not everyone received praised, some were placed in the category of overrated players and the names would probably stir controversy. It features the likes of Brazil legend Pele, Real Madrid winger Gareth Bale and Barcelona star Antoine Griezmann.
