FPL Gameweek 3 Tips : Fantasy Premier League Gameweek 3 Team, Players And Captain

Fantasy Premier League Gameweek 3 Team, Players And Captain: Presenting to you The SportRush’s gameweek 3 team, taking a look at the fixtures and players to rope you’re your FPL side for the impending week

We were made to indulge in an arduous wait for the 2019-20 campaign of the Premier League but the way the first two gameweeks have scoured by, the wait was a befitting one. It’s been an enthralling start to the newest edition of the showpiece, an action filled one which has immersed us in a pool of tantalising poised encounters.

With us prepping to enter into gameweek three with the week’s first encounter to played on August 24th, 12:30am IST, the need to craft out our FPL side arose once again. It’s been a decent start to life for SportsRush in Fantasy Premier League, registering a solid 85 points before following it up with a decent gameweek 2 which saw us emerge with 54 points.

A total of 139 points after the first couple of gameweeks has accorded us with a stable start, a foundation which augurs well for us preceding gameweek 3. In a bid to further ascend up the ranks, we poured into the pool of viable options for the imminent gameweek, pouring insight into the fixtures and picking out the best side to immerse in.

For the new gameweek, our side sees the one transfer with us opting to bring in Chelsea’s Mason Mount in place of Lucas Moura, helping free up funds to invest in elsewhere for gameweek 4. Although Harry Kane was an extremely enticing option given his match against Newcastle at home, we have decided not to indulge in a minus 4 at this early stage of the season.

Fantasy Premier League Gameweek 1 Team

Goal-Keeper

Brighton’s Mather Ryan retains his spot in our side with the side squaring off against Southampton this week. They ended up conceding a goal to West Ham the last week but with a cleansheet against Watford and a solid defensive display against West Ham as well, he’s a pick who makes for a reliable one for this GW.

Defenders

With Benjamin Mendy back in practice for Manchester City, Oleksandr Zinchenko’s time in Manchester City’s playing 11 could be short lived but we’ll be going ahead with the leftback as long as he is an assured starter for the side. He has a tricky fixture against Bournemouth this week but City will be looking to rectify on their mistakes against Tottenham and we envisage City emerging with a hard fought cleansheet.

Despite failing to keep a cleansheet in his side’s previous encounter, centreback Lewis Dunk still ended up earning a bonus point, one which epitomised how pivotal a role he played for Brighton against West Ham. The three points followed up a cleansheet and assist against Watford, seeing him become an undisputed pick for us in this one.

John Lundstram’s match winning goal against Crystal Palace not only saw Sheffield United earn their first Premier League win after a 21 year wait but rope into our FPL side 14 incredible points, seeing us maintain our faith in him for this one. The CDM is classified as a defender in the game, seeing his value rise to 4.1 million and despite him squaring off against Leicester City, we see the side’s determination and resilience giving us another cleansheet.

We are wrapping up our three man backline by getting in Liverpool’s Trent Alexander—Arnold. The rightback got an assist in the side’s opening encounter and up against Arsenal this week, anther could be very likely. Arsenal hate playing against attack minded outfits and with Liverpool tormenting them in the side’s last couple of contests, Arnold could get good points today.

Midfielders for FPL Gameweek 3

When we started crafting out our midfielder facet, we had to select between going in with four midfielders or three strikers . After pondering over the fixtures, we decided to dole out three midfielders for this one with our strikers offering better value for this gameweek.

We’ll begin with our one transfer for this gameweek, one which saw us get in Chelsea’s Mason Mount. At 6 million, the midfielder looks certain to start for the side once again after getting the team’s opening goal in this campaign against Leicester City. Up against Norwich, Chelsea could end up enjoying themselves, making Mount not only a cheap but an excellent option this time around.

Manchester City’s rightwinger, Raheem Sterling comes in as well after scoring four goals across two matches along with Liverpool’s Mohammed Salah. He struggled against Southampton but with a week’s break in between their imminent encounter against Arsenal, Salah should be back amongst the goals.

Strikers for FPL Gameweek 3

Raul Jimenez has failed to score for us till now but he’s someone we are going to keep in our side. Wolverhampton began life in the PL with a tricky set of opening fixtures, one which overturn this gameweek with Burnley coming to visit them. One of the most progressive sides in Europe at the moment, Wolverhampton have never disguised their penchant for goals and we expect them to come out and get a few in this encounter.

Liverpool’s striker Roberto Firmino is the second striker we have picked up despite us having the option to transfer him out for Kane. He plays against Arsenal at home, a side he always scores against and with Arsenal defensively so meek and tepid, Firmino getting another one today wouldn’t be the most surprising thing.

Despite seeing Manchester City come calling, we have decided to stick with Bournemouth’s Callum Wilson solely due to the gameplan the side venture with in every encounter.

Captain And Vice-Captain for FPL Gameweek 3

It’s a pick which few will go with, a tricky one but one we envision paying off massively for us. There were deliberations between Roberto Firmino and Mason Mount but we have stuck with Mount for today while Firmino is being selected as our vice-captain.

Bench For Gameweek 1

Our bench isn’t the most impressive one, an area of our side we will be looking to address in the upcoming gameweeks. Wolverhampton’s Leander Dendoncker is the best pick we have, accompanied by Arsenal’s Torreira, Burnley’s defender Ben Gibson and Bournemouth’s goal-keeper David Button.

We would love for you to revel into our Fantasy Premier League, The SportsRush League and engage in a season long soiree. League Code- yth7jc
