IPL 2017 : Full schedules, matches and venues
The biggest cricketing extravaganza of the year is just around the corner. After a series of delays in the trademark IPL auction, it is finally set on the 20th of February. Moreover, the entire schedule for IPL 2017 has also been released by the Board of Cricket for Control in India.
The tournament will comprise of 8 teams and is set to commence from 5th April. The 60 match marquee event will see its finals being played on May 21 at Hyderabad. By virtue of being the defending champions, Hyderabad has received the rights of hosting the first and the final match.

The IPL has made a mark in the cricketing calendar as a trademark event and is also the most-attended cricket league in the world. Since the league was founded in 2007, there was no looking back for this cash-rich and glitz and glam league. Moreover, this will be the 10th edition of the tournament this year.

The Sunrisers Hyderabad are the current defending champions, having beaten Royal Challengers Bangalore in a thrilling contest. The titles have been well spaced with as many as four teams winning twice. These teams are Sunrisers Hyderabad/Deccan Chargers, Chennai Super Kings, Kolkata Knight Riders and Mumbai Indians
The full schedule
The round-robin format of the tournament will be featuring 56 matches. Each team will play the other twice in home and away format. Following that, there will be two qualifiers and one eliminator in store during the knockout stage. Lastly, the finals will be played between the winners of the qualifier 1 and qualifier 2 on the 21st of May.
The top two teams in the round-robin stage face each other in the 1st qualifier. The winner of this game proceeds directly to the final. On the other hand, the loser of this game gets a second shot at the final spot in qualifier 2. They take on the winners of the eliminator, contested between the third and the fourth placed teams.
