Valorant update 6.11 Pearl changes

Before Valorant moves towards Episode 7 Act 3, players have received the Valorant update 6.11, which has made a lot of changes to Pearl. Since VCT Masters is just about to start, the developers thought it would be the right time to implement these changes. Here are all the changes that Pearl will receive in the Valorant 6.11 patch update.

In the patch, the developers have addressed Pearl’s B Site, which has been an area of concern for defenders who hold the Site. Attackers are known to have the upper hand on this Site, and that is what Riot Games has balanced out.

In addition to the major changes, small bugs, and errors will also get fixed in the patch, making the gaming experience smoother for players.

Here are all the changes that will be visible after Valorant patch 6.11 are implemented.

Valorant update 6.11 Pearl changes

Pearl has been known for being an extremely attacker-friendly map. The changes have been implemented to make the map more balanced before the new Episode and VCT Masters. Players who have been playing the map for long have been asking for changes to be made to the map. The game’s developers have finally heard the players and made the changes.

Adjusted the B Ramp Screen and removed the attacker cubby

Visible changes have been made to the Screen on B Ramp, which was creating a problem for Defenders when they were trying to retake the site. The size of the screen has been made shorter and the ramp has been replaced by a jump-up, making the move of the attacker more predictable.

The Ramp has also been removed, meaning it would prevent attackers from holding the position, opening more area for flanks.

Adjusted B Site Screen

B Site Screen will also be receiving changes so that the defenders get more options to plan their move. The screen has been extended, which creates a new playable area and a new non-pennable section along with a stack of crates will give the defenders to use more utilities to work with. Sage wall and Smoke will be applied here more easily now.

Added a new cubby in B Hall

The addition of the new cubby will give defenders more area to reposition themselves when they are playing against the attackers’ utilities, and will also help them create new angles that will help them hold the position on B Link. This Long plant spot could definitely use this update.

Widened the pillar on B Site

In addition to this, B Site Pillar has also been resized to provide players with more variation and is likely to reduce the chances of getting spammed by attackers.

How will the Pearl map changes affect gameplay?

Since a lot of players had been complaining about Pearl being a weak map for the defenders, a huge change in gameplay is expected going forward after Valorant update 6.11 Pearl changes. This means that defenders will be able to plan their moves better. It also means that the change in ramp, for instance, will prevent attackers from using mollies on the Site and increase the speed of the defender’s play.

In addition to this, changes in the position of the Upper Ramp have taken away the attacker’s ability to peak and kill enemies. Players will now have a more leveling field on the map. The addition of more crates also means more accessibility for defenders. Moreover, this will give more control back to the defenders.

This is all for the Pearl map changes players can expect in the 6.11 update. Players can head to our Valorant page to get more information about the upcoming patch notes.
