Valorant Pearl Map Changes for the 6.11 Update: Here's What's Changed

Ever since its introduction, Pearl has become one of the most beloved and played maps. Due to the ever-changing nature of Valorant, it is now getting multiple changes. Let us look at them below.

Pearl favors the attacking side a lot in Valorant. You can do a lot to set up post-plant utility in the map and there are many professional matches being won just by using Pearl’s B Site Ramps to throw mollies and other abilities that delay and kill enemies. Due to that abuse, Riot has finally decided to make some changes.

In a recent tweet, Valorant’ Official Twitter account listed three to four changes for the B-Site of the map exclusively in hopes of changing the Pearl meta. Let us take a look at them and see what Riot did.

Pearl Map Changes Valorant 6.11 Update: List of All the B-Site Changes

In their recent tweet, Riot Games proclaimed that Pearl will look a “little different” after the 6.11 patch. They also gave the fans a slight preview of what will be going down in the reconstruction of the map. The aim is to ensure that the B-Site post plant does not guarantee an attacker-sided win if a team is playing post plant through Upper Ramps.

Here are the changes:

B Upper Ramp and B Screen Changes

As you can see in the before and after of these images, the Upper Ramp has been changed so that the attackers cannot peek from every possible angle on top of the screen there. There is only a step-up that one can use to peak which will be quite a simple angle for defenders to hold.

In addition, there is a huge change to the B-Site Screen. Step-up boxes have been added to give defending agents better access to gather info from ramps. These two defender side changes will be essential to maintain control for the defender side.

B Halls and B Tower Pillar Changes

As you can see in the after image, B Halls will get an extension of the entry point. The defenders can use the angle on the right or the one further back to peek out and gather info. Previously, attackers had to clear only a single angle in halls upon Ramp entry, now they will have a harder time.

In addition, they have also made the Pillar on the B-Site tower a little bit thicker to give an advantage to defenders holding Heaven. Now defenders have enough room to place utility and play on the pillar themselves.

These are all the changes for the B-Site. There may be changes for the A-Site but nothing is set in stone yet. For more Valorant content, click here.
