In FIFA 23, celebrating after a goal is a fun way to flex about scoring. To do the Griddy, players need to score a goal and then input a specific set of buttons. Here are all the buttons you need to hit for the Griddy:
- Xbox: Hold RT + Flick Right Stick Up twice
- PlayStation: Hold R2 + Flick Right Stick Up twice
- Keyboard: Hold Left Control + Press T
In FIFA, hitting the right buttons at the right time ensures players in a certain manner. A video posted by EA on Twitter showed the mechanics and how the Griddy would look when performed.
The move is named after the creator, Allen ‘Griddy’ Davis, and quickly got a lot of traction after LSU’s Ja’Marr Chase and Viking’s number 18 Justin Jefferson started using it as their moves in the NFL.
Since then, a lot of people have used the move, leading to its rapidly growing popularity. EA introducing it was the actual recognition it deserved. Besides the Griddy, a lot of new moves have been introduced in FIFA 23 like The Eye of the Storm, Slide, and Flex, Slide Salute, Gamer, and Arm Swing.
