Gary Neville and Jamie Carragher hilariously analyse each other’s defending in the Vincent Kompany testimonial at the Etihad stadium last Wednesday.
Gary Neville and Jamie Carragher are legends of clubs that have a long history as rivals. After butting heads as players for Manchester United and Liverpool, the two now square off as pundits for Sky Sports.

The duo were paired as teammates for the first time in their career when they turned out for the Premier League All Star XI against Manchester City legends during long serving Vincent Kompany’s testimonial match; Who ironically missed the match owing to a hamstring injury.
The All stars would go on to concede within two minutes and Neville and Carragher fell out soon after.

Neville pulled his hamstring shortly and had to be subbed off. The match eventually ended in a 2-2 draw with both players shifting the blame on the other after the match.
In a post match interview, Carragher made a tongue in cheek comment about the All stars playing better after Neville was subbed off.

Neville on the other hand, in a separate interview, criticised Carragher for playing in front of him despite being a centre back.
“Why a centre-half is in front of his right-back, I’ll never know.”

On Sky Sports’ Monday night football, the pair discussed their defending in the match. The result, as you can imagine was hilarious with neither of the two pulling their punches. Neville did admit though that his marking was poor before Carragher, rather humorously mocked him for his bad defensive decisions.
