Gautam Gambhir alleged cheating case: Former Indian opening batsman and the current MP’s name has come up in a cheating case.

Former India opening batsman and sitting Member of Parliament from East Delhi Gautam Gambhir’s name has come up in a cheating case with respect to a real estate firm which had done the rounds several years ago.
The Delhi Police has filed a supplementary charge sheet against Gambhir, Mukesh Khurana, Gautam Mehra and Babita Khurana. The four promoters are believed to have “promoted and advertised” the real estate project in Ghaziabad’s Indirapuram in 2011.
“The project was extensively promoted and advertised and Mr [Gautam] Gambhir, as the brand ambassador, helped in attracting and inviting buyers to invest in the project,” the complainant alleged.

Gautam Gambhir alleged cheating case
It is reported that the firm Rudra Buildwell Realty Pvt Ltd and HR Infracity Pvt Ltd had announced a project which hasn’t seen the daylight till date. Furthermore, crores of rupees were collected from over 50 people in lieu of them receiving homes in the housing project.
In its charge sheet, the police alleged that “the developers executed Builder Buyer Agreement with the victims in June-July, 2014 even after the expiry of sanctioned building plan on June 6, 2013. Developers have been demanding and collecting money from the victims unauthorizedly even after June 23, 2013.”
A final report according to NDTV claims that the investors were kept in dark over the years by the aforementioned firms.
“Investors have been deliberately kept in dark about the litigations involving hr proposed site of land. Authorities cancelled the sanction/ approval etc. for the project on April 15, 2015, due to default of payments of requisite licence fees etc. and non-compliance of other formalities,” the final report said.
