Chelsea invited Burnley to Stamford Bridge in a late night contest. The Blues have a fantastic opportunity to leapfrog to the third spot after Tottenham Hotspur and Arsenal lose their respective games in the weekend. It has been goals galore within the first half an hour of the game.

The hosts starting the game on a high, but the Clarets were the side to start the scoring proceedings in a high voltage clash. Burnley are looking threatening with every available set piece. When they took the corner, the corner was very well dealt by the Chelsea defence, but Jeff Hendrick struck the ball to perfection from outside the penalty box to hand over the lead for the visitors.

Four minutes later, Chelsea broke through the counter-attack and Eden Hazard made the defence run for their life. The Belgian faked twice to find N’Golo Kante inside the penalty box. The French International struck the ball sweetly to score it past Tom Heaton. Gonzalo Higuain scored the fourth goal of his loan spell with a thunderbolt.

The Blues were once again through the counter-attack as the Blues played crispy passes in between the defence to move the ball quickly. Cesar Azpilicueta played a one-two with Gonzalo Higuain inside the penalty box. The Argentine International had time, but the angle was so acute for the striker. Despite the tough angle, Higuain thundered it in the top corner of the near post.

Tom Heaton did not have any chance to even react and get a hand to it. It was an exquisite striker from their number 9.

Ten minutes later, Burnley’s set-piece routine worked to perfection as Ashley Barnes got to the end it to level the score once again.
