Ramos on Harry Kane: Spain and Real Madrid’s captain has spoken on Harry Kane’s chances in La Liga.

The defending champions of Europe have struggled ever since the beginning of the new season. Real Madrid is yet to seemingly recover from the departure of Zinedine Zidane and Cristiano Ronaldo. The injury crisis has further worsened the situation for Julen Lopetegui.

Real Madrid is currently on a four-match goalless run across all competitions this season. The club lost their first match in the Champions League in 30 games against CSKA Moscow last week. Later, in the La Liga, they conceded the only goal of the match in injury time against Deportivo Alaves.

The speculation over Julen Lopetegui’s future at the club has begun, and Florentino Perez has been urged to make some signings by the Real Madrid fans. The club oversaw the departure of Danilo, Morata, Ronaldo, and Kovacic in the last two years. In return, Real Madrid’s only significant signings were Courtois, Mariano, and Odriozola.

Sergio Ramos, the Real Madrid captain, has now spoken on Harry Kane, who has been relentlessly linked with a move to the club since the beginning of the transfer window this year.

Ramos on Harry Kane:

The Spanish captain interacted with media ahead of Spain’s Nations League clash against England. He was asked about the chances of Harry Kane flourishing in La Liga, to which Ramos replied quite positively.

“Harry Kane is physically a fantastic striker but also technically. He can surprise you – but not me as we have prepared for him,” said Ramos.

Ramos was also appreciative of the English players.

“There are always very technical players in the England team that are dangerous but I can assure you we have been watching them.

“We know the level of difficulty will be very high. We know we have a fantastic national team in front of us, and even though we played a great game at Wembley there are things we can improve.

“England had a fantastic World Cup. They have a lot of personality despite being very young, and offensively they are very dangerous.

“Harry Kane is a very good player. We have to keep his scoring drought going because that will be a good sign for us.”

What next?

Sergio Ramos’ comments on Kane are bound to fuel speculations regarding the English captain’s move to Real Madrid.

Real Madrid, too, can be benefitted from Harry Kane’s quality in front of the goal.
