Antoine Griezmann has given his verdict on Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi.
Antoine Griezmann is currently enjoying a great campaign with Atletico Madrid sitting second in the La Liga table. The Spanish outfit are seven points off Barcelona, but there are another 13 games left in the league which might see them in the mix of the title race this campaign.
Atletico Madrid forward has scored 18 goals this campaign and has been pivotal to Diego Simeone’s plans. The former Real Sociedad winger was part of the side which beat Juventus 2-0 at Wanda Metropolitano in the first leg of the Champions League Round of 16.

There is every chance that the Old Lady can turn the tie, especially with the likes of Cristiano Ronaldo, but it remains to be seen as Atletico Madrid have one of the best defence in Europe.
The French International enjoyed success with his club and country by lifting the Europa League, Super Cup, and the World Cup last year. He was running in for the player of the year award, but the 27-year-old finished third in the Ballon d’Or competition after Cristiano Ronaldo and Luka Modric.
When he was not handed out the Ballon d’Or for winning the World Cup and Europa League with his club and country, Griezmann yelled at the media that he does not know how to get his hands on that award.
“When I learned [I didn’t win], you didn’t want to be at home with me the first two days (laugh). No, it’s a great pride to be on the podium, to be a world champion.”
“I’m counting on the team-mates in the club and the national team to be in Luka’s place in the future. I won an Europa League, a World Cup – what else I have to do, I do not know.” said Griezmann.

The Atletico Madrid striker has said that he considers both Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo as best players of all time and also did drop in names including Pele, Zinedine Zidane, and Diego Maradona.
Best player of all time? Well you know it depends on the era but I would say Messi or Cristiano.”
“I never saw how Pele or Maradona played. It’s a tough question. Everyone has their own style. There’s also Zidane. Zidane won the World Cup. Messi and Ronaldo never have.” Griezmann said while speaking to oh my goal.
When he was asked about the toughest opponent he has faced in his career, Griezmann picked up a surprise name by calling out Frenkie De Jong instead of Lionel Messi or Cristiano Ronaldo.
“I would say de Jong from Ajax Amsterdam because I tried to put pressure on him and never succeeded.”
