Guardiola on Premier League title race: Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola has insisted that there are 5 teams fighting for the title.

Manchester City are at the top of the table in the Premier League at the moment. Pep Guardiola’s men took off from where they left last season, as City are yet to lose a league game this season. However, City faces a tough competition from other Premier League giants – Liverpool and Chelsea in particular.

Both the sides are also unbeaten in the league so far, and Liverpool are level on points with Guardiola’s side.

Manchester City will make a trip to Wembley Stadium as they take on Tottenham Hotspur in the Premier League. Mauricio Pochettino’s side are enjoying a good run in the league, as they’re only two points behind Manchester City.

However, the spirits are rather low as Tottenham fear another Champions League disappointment. Tottenham were held to a 2-2 draw by PSV, and the English side has scored only one point from their first three matches so far.

The Manchester City manager has now given his verdict on the Premier League title race.

Guardiola on Premier League title race:

Pep Guardiola stated that there are five teams fighting for the Premier League title this season.

“I don’t have doubt about that. There are just two points difference between four, five or six teams. They’re all so strong,” said Guardiola.

“You see the line-up – the first 11, 12, 13 players from Tottenham for the last five or six years, Tottenham are always up there.

“Obviously, they cannot invest in players because of their incredible stadium that cost a lot of money. They’re a top side. I’ve said that from my first year here.”

Manchester City and Liverpool have scored 23 points in the season so far. Chelsea are third in the table after forced to a 2-2 draw by Manchester United last week. Three teams – Chelsea, Arsenal and Tottenham are currently level at 21 points in the league.

Manchester United, meanwhile, have had a struggling start to their season. Jose Mourinho’s side is 10th in the league with only 14 points from 9 games.

What next?

While City plays Tottenham this week, Arsenal will make an away trip to Crystal Palace, while Manchester United aims to return to winning ways as they host Everton.
