Hamilton clarifies ‘tricky’ Ferrari statement
Lewis Hamilton seemed like a puzzled, yet calm man after securing 2nd spot at Spa. Vettel and Ferrari just had a little too much pace for Hamilton, as the German passed him quite easily right before the Safety car period began, thanks to that massive crash triggered by Hulkenberg on Lap 1.
After the race, Hamilton had labelled the Ferrari pace as tricky, a statement that didn’t quite go well with a lot of Ferrari fans.
And largely due to that and the journalists pressing on that statement, Hamilton had to clarify the semantics used by him, as the word ‘tricky’ brought back memories from previous races, wherein Mercedes and Hamilton had accused Ferrari of using ‘interesting tactics'(This was when the twice in two races a Ferrari had taken out a Mercedes).
“We all have trick things on our cars. Trick is just a word for something special I guess. I don’t know what’s on their car” Hamilton clarified.
After referring to Ferrari’s “trick”, Hamilton asked if he thought they were bending the rules: “We all have trick things on our cars. Trick is just a word for something special I guess. I don’t know what’s on their car” #F1 #BelgianGP

Hamilton and Mercedes would be a little worried seeing the performance of that Ferrari package today, as with 8 races to go, and some power circuits to come, Ferrari could really take the title away from Mercedes.
Monza is Ferrari’s home race and with it being another power circuit, you would expect Vettel to win it and close the gap to Hamilton even further.
Some interesting few races to come.
