Veteran India off-spinner Harbhajan Singh has become the latest cricketer to express his opinion on Indian opening batsman Lokesh Rahul and all-rounder Hardik Pandya’s misogynist comments on renowned talk show ‘Koffee With Karan’.
Harbhajan was seen lashing out at the duo for their inappropriate comments on national television. The 38-year old cricketer also supported the BCCI’s decision to suspend both of them.

Harbhajan laid emphasis on not discussing such things with friends in a personal space, let alone television. “They have openly said.. ‘I have done this, I have done that’. It was shocking to me. Many of my seniors, my friends have been talking about it and it has been shocking to all of them,” he was quoted as saying on India Today.
Harbhajan also mentioned that the duo’s attempt of looking cool in front of everyone made them look like fools. “They can’t go out and say such things while pretending to be cool. They ended up making a fool of themselves,” he said.
The current Chennai Super Kings cricketer was of the opinion that the duo’s comments have it in them to taint the reputation of the former cricketers as well. But, he was quick to mention that the former cricketers were not like Pandya and Rahul.

“We are not like them. We don’t talk about all this even with our friends and they were talking on public television. Now people might think was Harbhajan Singh like this, was Anil Kumble like this and was Sachin Tendulkar…” Harbhajan added.
He concluded by saying that the duo needs to understand that they play cricket at the highest level and people treat them as demigods.
