During the 22nd match of the ongoing India vs Pakistan encounter at Manchester, India’s all-rounder Hardik Pandya had a cheesy moment with the Pakistan skipper Sarfaraz Ahmed.
India were all over Pakistan like a rash soon after Chinaman Kuldeep Yadav got rid of the set batting duo of Babar Azam and Fakhar Zaman within a span of two overs.

It is at this moment, that Sarfaraz, who was again out to bat in a troublesome situation wanted to unsettle Pandya. Pandya, on the other hand was looking hungry to pick up his third wicket of the match after dismissing the experienced Mohammad Hafeez (9 off 7) and Shoaib Malik (0 off 1) in consecutive deliveries.
Why did Pandya laugh at Sarfaraz?
It happened during the 2nd delivery of the 29th over. Sarfaraz tried to dance down the track in his bid to unsettle the all-rounder. But Hardik, as clever as a fox, dugged in a surprise bouncer batsman to take him by surprise. Sarfaraz was clearly not expecting the nasty delivery and on top of it, a such a pace. He thus, gets rid of the delivery by somehow fending it towards the cover area.
Hardik, who had outsmarted Sarfaraz gave him one of those smiles to probably signal him that, he cannot be underestimated as a bowler. He, in fact eventually laughed at him.
Pakistan, at the time of writing, required another 120 runs of 3 overs after a rain-curtailed match meant that they needed to chase down a score of 302 in 40 overs. Opening batsman Fakhar Zaman was their top scorer with the bat as he scored 62 off 75 deliveries with the help of 7 fours and a six.
From India’s point of view, Vijay Shankar, Hardik Pandya, and Kuldeep Yadav picked up two wickets apiece to rattle the Pakistani batting line up.
