ENG vs MNG Dream11 Team Prediction : England Vs Montenegro Group A UEFA Euro 2020 Qualifying Round Best Dream 11 Team

Harry Kane will have a unique record to his name if England win Euro 2020 next summer; a possibility that looks very likely after their unbeaten run in the qualifiers.

England have managed to remain unbeaten in their Euro 2020 qualifiers. They have made short work of all their opponents so far and now have one foot in the tournament next summer. Harry Kane, the man leading their charge has done so with example.

Their unbeaten in World Cup and Euro qualifiers actually stretches back to October 2009. However, their streak looked like it would come to an end yesterday when Kosovo scored their opening goal in just 35 second!

England recovered quickly after and won the thriller 5-3. Manchester City’s golden boy Raheem Sterling, equalised just seven minutes later. Harry Kane, who scored a hat-trick in their previous match, gave them the lead in the 19th minute.

Jadon Sancho’s twin goals and an own goal by Kosovo stretched their score to 5 before half time. They could have added to this score but Harry Kane missed a rare penalty. Kosovo then scored two goals with 10 minutes of half-time to launch their fight back. However, the mountain was too high to climb and Kosovo’s unbeaten run came to an end while England’s winning run continues.

Harry Kane will have a unique record to his name if England win Euro 2020

With 4 wins in 4 games, England look almost certain to book their spot in the European quadrennial event next summer. If England can continue this run and go on to win the tournament, their captain Harry Kane, will be rewarded with a very unique record to his name.

Certain things would not fall in place for the record though. First and foremost an England victory in the Euro. The second would be another trophyless season for Tottenham Hotspurs.

If both these conditions are met, Harry Kane can become the first captain in history to win the European Championships without having ever won a major trophy, according to research by betting aggregator BonusCodeBets.co.uk

Not only will Kane be the first English captain to be crowned a European champion next year if Gareth Southgate’s side emerge victorious, but another season at Tottenham without silverware would mean the 26-year-old will become the first captain ever to win the competition without a single major trophy to his name.

More records to be broken

In contrast, Cristiano Ronaldo, the captain of the defending champions Portugal, has 18 titles to his name! Individually, Kane has been a fantastic servant of the game and has become a prolific scorer both for club and country. However, his rewards are yet to be rewarded.

Winning Euro 2020 will also make him the youngest man to lift the trophy while wearing the armband since Anton Ondruš won the competition as a 24-year-old with Czechoslovakia in 1976. With just 39 caps to his name, he will also become one of the least experienced captains to get their hands on the coveted trophy. The average age of winning captains stands at 63 at the moment.

A Spokesman from BonusCodeBets.co.uk said: “Trophies are the only thing missing from Harry Kane’s brilliant career so far and the odds suggest he may not be too far away from winning his first in the Euros next year.

“Not only will it be Kane’s first but he would also become the first skipper in history to win the competition having not won any previous silverware at club level, which is unprecedented on the global stage.”
