Harry Maguire: Leicester City defender confirms Red Devils move with social media activity

Harry Maguire has confirmed his move to Manchester United with a social media activity.

Harry Maguire has sparkled rumours by liking a post linking him with Manchester United. The English International has been touted to one of the Manchester club, with both Ole Gunnar Solskjaer and Pep Guardiola registering their interest on him.

The Foxes are adamant about their demand, wanting 80 million to let him leave King Power Arena. The Red Devils are prepared to pay up to 65 million, and Pep is ready to match that price.

Maguire’s latest social media activity suggests he could be on his way to Old Trafford, pairing up with Chris Smalling, Jesse Lingard, and Marcus Rashford at Manchester United.

Maguire has got people talking after he ‘liked’ a comment from a fan, saying: “You’re going to be a fan favourite at Manchester United.”

Last year, United bid 50 million for the centre-back, which was instantly turned down by Leicester City. After an exceptional World Cup campaign with the Three Lions, the Foxes demanded a fee of 90 million, which put off the Red Devils. Jose Mourinho was particularly coy about a centre-back, but he was not able to sign even one last summer.

The 26-year-old was part of Hull City side, which was relegated in 2017. However, he was subjected to interest from various sides and Leicester won that battle by signing him for 13 million.

He has been the mainstay for the Foxes under the manager of Claude Puel and Brendan Rodgers. However, the club would be tempted to sell him for a fee of around 70 million.

Here’s how Twitter has reacted..

What’s next?

Manchester United will have their much-needed balance if they manage to land Harry Maguire from Leicester City. He is a commander, and has the capability to improve others around him too.
