Manchester United’s perfect start to the season had many fans and pundits purring. Gary Neville called it the best performance by a United side since Sir Alex Ferguson retired, and based on what we saw on Sunday, not many would disagree.

With Pogba and Mata pulling the strings in midfield, it was up to Marcos Rashford and new boy Romelu Lukaku to the find the net. While Rashford did not score, his attacking play was an important weapon for United through out the 90 minutes.

Lukaku on the other hand had a dream start to his Old Trafford career, as he bagged two goals on his debut. Had it not been for some wonderful goal keeping for Joe Hart, the Belgian could have scored a hat trick.

But in spite of many people calling them the early favorites for the title, Jose has his feet on the ground. He said so in the post match conference and reiterated that the team still had a long way to go before becoming champions.

Reports have now started coming in that Jose, who is still in the market for a wide man, is desperate to add Arjen Robben to this promising Manchester United team.

Robben, who has previously played under Jose at Chelsea, is still a brilliant player and could relish the opportunity to play at Old Trafford. He is a serial winner, having won every domestic trophy in a glittering club career.

In spite of being 33, Robben still plays a crucial role of Bayern, and scored 13 goals last season. Age might be the only roadblock as United will press ahead and try to bring the flying winger to Old Trafford.

As they saw with Zlatan, age is just a number. Robben would be a fantastic short term option for the club, as Jose tries to bring United back to the zenith of European football.

With Chelsea struggling and Pep still not sure about his first XI, the addition of Robben would surely make United the front runners for the Premier League title.

Looks like Jose will have the last laugh after all!
