Hector Herrera to Arsenal: Arsenal are eyeing the Mexican midfielder to replace Aaron Ramsey, who is set to leave next year.

Arsenal are in solid form under Unai Emery at the moment. The Gunners extended their winning run to 9 games in all competitions as they thumped Fulham 5-1 at Craven Cottage yesterday. Alexandre Lacazette and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang scored a brace, while Aaron Ramsey’s terrific backheel goal completed a convincing away win for Arsenal.

Unai Emery’s side is currently fourth in the table, only behind Man City, Chelsea and Liverpool. Yesterday’s win was also their sixth consecutive win in the Premier League after Arsenal lost their two opening matches to Man City and Chelsea.

Arsenal’s win at Fulham has fuelled positivity among the Gunners’ fans, who sang ‘We’ve got our Arsenal back’ for most of the second half. After finishing the first half at 1-1, Arsenal scored four goals inside 40 minutes in a complete domination over the hosts in the second half.

The good news continues to arrive for Arsenal fans outside football, as Arsenal signed a new kit-sponsorship deal with Adidas. The deal is worth 60 million pounds-a-year, which is almost double the amount from the ongoing Puma deal.

Arsenal are also taking strong steps in the transfer market. After reportedly sealing a move for Paraguayan international Miguel Almiron, Arsenal are now eyeing a move for Hector Herrera.

Hector Herrera to Arsenal:

Portuguese media outlet A.Bola reports that Arsenal are eyeing the signature of Hector Herrera. The Mexican midfielder, who currently captains Porto, has attracted significant interest over the summer from major European giants like Real Madrid.

Earlier, it was reported that Arsenal were scouting Hector Herrera. An official from Arsenal was present during Porto’s match against Galatasaray in the Champions League last week. Hector Herrera captained Porto and was on the field for 88 minutes, before being substituted.

However, Arsenal face stiff competition for the signing of the Mexican midfielder. Real Madrid were linked with Herrera throughout the summer, and even when no substantial deal was put on place from Spanish giants, Lopetegui’s side may make a move for him.

Real Madrid are enduring a struggling season at the moment, as the club is currently goalless since four matches. The Los Blancos are currently fourth in La Liga, and lost their Champions League group stage match 1-0 to CSKA Moscow last week.
