The recent Twitch Special Program hosted by HoYoverse has divulged numerous details about the upcoming patch. Additionally, the developers have generously shared three fresh redemption codes, allowing players to acquire valuable Stellar Jades.
The official name for Version 1.2 is “Even Immortality Ends”. The version will take after the Trailblaze Mission or the main game storyline in Xianzhou Luofu. The following section will delve into all the specifics revealed during the Star Rail 1.2 live stream.

Honkai Star Rail 1.2 Character and Light Cone banners
The update is planned to be released approximately on or around July 19. If Honkai Impact follows its usual 6-week patch cycle, the second phase is likely to become available around August 9. The first phase is expected to have Blade, a new five-star Wind-type character of the Destruction Path. The second phase will feature the five-star Kafka, a Stellaron Hunter on the Path of Nihility with Lightning-Type. Additionally, a new four-star character called Luka will be introduced, a part of the underground fighting club of Jarilo-VI.
The four stars to be featured in the first phase of Honkai Star Rail 1.2 have also been revealed in the livestream. The first phase will feature Sushang, Arlan, and Natasha. In the second phase, along with Luka, the two four-stars, Sampo and Serval will have boosted drop rates.
As part of the update, the Light Cone banners will showcase two new signature weapons associated with the featured five-star characters. These will likely enhance the abilities and performance of the respective characters, providing players with exciting new options for their gameplay strategies. The first is a Destruction Light Cone called The Unreachable Side, while the next is a Nihility Cone by the name Patience is All You Need.
Trailblaze Mission: Topclouded Towerthrust and new boss
The version 1.2 update will catch up with the main storyline of the game that ended with the Trailblaze Mission on the Xianzhou Luofu in version 1.0. After a long filler of v1.1, players will finally be able to fill some gaps in the plot that ends with a cliffhanger. Dan Heng will also reunite with the Astral Express crew as the missions take off with a new thrill.
The planet will likely face severe trouble due to the Stellaron while the Trailblazers aid them. The new storyline will also feature a boss fight, which will join the Echoes of War later. The boss, Phantylia the Undying, can use both Destruction and Abundance Paths.
New areas and enemies in Star Rail 1.2
Two new areas called the Alchemy Commission and Scalegorge Waterscape will appear in version 1.2. The Alchemy Commission is one of the six commissions of the Xianzhou Luofu. The second phase will have the Destruction of Lotuses, which can deal damage to single enemies and reduce maximum HP when active. Tales of the Fantastic
This event features a story-telling perspective where Trailblazers will receive a Protagonist Model with which they will have to follow the script and instructions. They can collect objects while using the blessings of the Protagonist Model and its combinations.
Underground Treasure Hunt
The treasure hunt event will be an exciting event in Belobog where players can find many hidden ruins in the Great Mine area. Players can expect dangers lurking in the secret areas and enemies who threaten them. The exploration will also feature some familiar faces on their journey. There are several enticing rewards like chests, new Chat Box themes, and Trace Materials.
Where Are You, Mystery Trotter?
Regin from Belobog has developed an invention that can detect Warp Trotters through Abnormal Readings. Players can defeat these Trotters to obtain Stellar Jades.
Companion Missions
In addition to the previously mentioned events, the Honkai Star Rail 1.2 livestream also unveiled two new Companion Missions for Kafka and Yukong. These missions are titled “Letter from a Strange Woman” for Kafka and “For I Have Touched the Sky” for Yukong. These Companion Missions not only provide players with engaging storylines and character development but also offer valuable rewards and unlock additional features related to Kafka and Yukong. Forgotten Hall and Simulated Universe

The Simulated Universe will introduce World 7, with two new additions to the Planar Ornament collection of the game. Rutilant Arena, the first Planar Ornament, increases the CRIT Rate as its two-piece set effect. It also increases the wearer’s Basic ATK and Skill DMG when the CRIT Rate crosses a certain threshold value. The second Planar Ornament, Broken Keel, increases the Effect RES. Similar to the last set effect, it additionally provides a CRIT DMG buff, but to all allies, when the Effect RES reaches a certain value.
Planar Fissure
In version 1.2, the Planar Fissure event will be making a comeback. Players can obtain double the usual Planar Ornament rewards from the Simulated Universe during this event.
Realm of the Strange
Players can obtain double Cavern Relic rewards from this event by challenging the Cavern of Corrosion.
Two new Cavern Relics will also be introduced in the upcoming Star Rail 1.2 update according to the livestream. Longevous Disciple will be a suitable set for HP-based characters, buffing CRIT Rate on its four-piece. The other set, Messenger Traversing Haxkerspace, increases SPD.
Lastly, the fan-favorite Gift of Odyssey will be making a return where players can receive 10 Special Star Rail Passes just by logging in to the game for seven days, not necessarily consecutively. Overall, version 1.2 can be expected to be quite generous with its rewards.
