Arsenal have been busy in the transfer market. The Gunners have added more quality to their squad after missing out on the Champions League place, subsequent to Europa League final defeat to Chelsea.
Unai Emery will be expected to finish in the Champions League place this campaign, even though the competition has heated up following the strengthening of the rivals. Manchester United have signed three players, whereas, Arsenal have filled the loopholes this summer.
The Europa League runners-up wrapped up the signing of Gabriel Martinelli in June, but there were no subsequent signings for weeks. The deals for William Saliba, Dani Ceballos, and Nicolas Pepe were announced within ten days. The Saint-Etienne defender will be loaned back to the French side, while the other three will be taking part in the forthcoming signing.
Additionally, Kieran Tierney and David Luiz are on the verge of signing for the Gunners after the arrangement of medical on deadline day. The Brazilian will fill the void left by Laurent Koscielny, who signed for Bordeaux, whereas Tierney is anticipated to dislodge Sead Kolasinac’s place in the starting eleven.
In return, Aaron Ramsey and Laurent Kolasinac’s departure to Juventus and Bordeaux are the two major outgoings. However, Unai Emery has covered those positions and has a superior lineup to their top-four rivals.
