The manager is said to be in line to take over from Mourinho
Pummelled off late to slip to four defeats in their last five Premier League matches, Tottenham find themselves in a serious quandary. The club has ended up dwindling all the way down 9th spot after losing its last two matches in the league, results which have seen manager Jose Mourinho be put to the sword.
What’s more worrying than the defeats is the complete lack of fight the club has shown in those results. Mourinho’s lacklustre defensive gameplan has been a massive determent to Tottenham’s form with a bevy of Tottenham players said to be losing faith with the manager.
In the wake of those reports, Daniel Levy is said to be ardently scouring for a new replacement. And one name who is persistently doing the rounds is RB Leipzig’s Julian Nagelsmann with the young manager massively impressing at the club.
Julian To Stay Put
Winning his last four outings in the Bundesliga, Julian is showing why he’s become such hot property in so little time. However, RB Leipzig’s Markus Krosche was quick to quash any such links with the club’s sporting director claiming Julian was going nowhere.
Speaking to BILD, Krosche, when asked about Nagelsmann links to London, said: “When you do a good job, you arouse desire.
“But Julian feels comfortable because he has everything he needs here. The team is developing great.
“That’s why I see no reason for him to switch – especially since he has a valid contract with us.”
While the comments were as assertive as they come, RB Leipzig could find it an arduous task to hang onto the manager if Tottenham do indeed come calling. The manager has often emoted towards his desire of managing in the Premier League with the competition alluring to him.
