I’ll stay at PSG: Kylian Mbappe

The French youngster won the Best Young Player of the World Cup for his terrific performances.

Kylian Mbappe has been central to France’s success in this World Cup campaign. The 19-year old fired France past oppositions like Argentina, Uruguay and Belgium before finally becoming the first teenager since Pele to score in a World Cup final against Croatia.

Mbappe’s performances have justifiably garnered interest from top European clubs to sign the youngster. One of them, which was reportedly leading the race for his signature was Real Madrid. However, Mbappe’s comments after the World Cup final has struck a blow to their chances of acquiring his services.

As he inspired France to their second World Cup final, Kylian Mbappe also spoke about his future at Paris Saint Germain. He joined PSG only last year, on loan with rivals AS Monaco. His deal will become permanent at the start of the new season. The youngster has been impressive in his first season at PSG, and was piped to shine at the World Cup, and so he did.

Mbappe stated that he has no plans to leave the Paris club, as speculations grew regarding him replacing Cristiano Ronaldo at Real Madrid.

“I will stay with PSG, continuing on my path with them,” the French youngster said.

“I am at the beginning of my career,” Mbappe added.

The French youngster scored 21 goals in his first season with Paris Saint Germain. Real Madrid, meanwhile, are also linked with Mbappe’s PSG teammate Neymar, as well as Chelsea’s Eden Hazard.
