Citing the occasion, former Pakistan fast bowler Shoaib Akhtar invited former India opening batsman Virender Sehwag for a video chat which was eventually published on the former’s official YouTube channel.

The duo discussed in length about the match and also predicted the winner of the contest. “I don’t believe that Pakistan will be able to beat India on the 16th in any way whatsoever,” Sehwag was quoted as saying on being asked to pick one side.

Much like Sehwag, Akhtar also favoured his country Pakistan. In a reply to Sehwag, Akhtar believed that toss will play a crucial role in deciding the winner of the match. “If Pakistan win the toss, they should win the match and open up the tournament. After that, any team among England, Australia, Pakistan, and India can win the tournament,” Akhtar said on his own channel.
