Igor Stimac’s side conceded nine against Tajikistan and North Korea. The defence has shown it’s vulnerability, but the attacking display has been piercing, when the manager installs players with pace in the frontline. The midfield has looked dire and needs more coaching because it comprises of young players.
Likewise to India, Syria also left a huge hole in the backline. They have conceded four times in two goals, but bagged five against North Korea in the opening day of the tournament. Their attack has enough menace to dislodge the backline of the Blue Tigers, but they can be exposed against the pacy frontline of Sunil Chhetri, Udanta Singh, and Lallianzuala Chhangte.
We shall look at the head-to-head statistics and predicted lineup of the Blue tigers.
