Fantasy Tips for RR vs KXIP

Round two of the RR-KXIP rivalry is here and the teams will be facing familiar foes as these two faced off 2 days ago as well.

The IPL scheduling committee should be docked a few dollars, as two teams taking on each other twice in three days is something that could put off the participating teams and the fans.

However, while the schedule could be taxing and frustrating for the two teams, it comes as a huge boon for Fantasy managers.

RR were brushed aside in the last game by a KL Rahul special. Rahul once again exhibited qualities of a player who is ready to be thrown into the International cricket once again.

Rajasthan Royals have some introspection to do, especially their big money players, who haven’t risen to the occasion this IPL and have literally been passengers in the entire IPL 2018 edition.

It’s about time Ben Stokes and Jaydev Unadkat repaid the faith shown in them by their franchise.

Let’s get to business now!

Now, I already have Mayank Agarwal, Chris Gayle, KL Rahul, Krishnappa Gowtham and Ben Stokes in my side for this game.

I won’t be making any changes to my side for this game. However for people who have more than 20 transfers for this game, this is how you can approach this game.

Mujeeb ur Rehman, Jos Buttler, Sanju Samson and Jofra Archer are in my consideration set.

I rule out Sanju Samson immediately, because while he has been striking the ball brilliantly in the last few games, he hasn’t really been able to convert his 20s and 30s into big scores. I would like to stay away from that ‘frustration’ at this stage of the tournament.

The big boundaries at the Sawai Maan Singh Stadium in Jaipur would aid both Jofra Archer and Mujeeb. Dew shouldn’t play much of a role in Jaipur but still just to be safe, I would suggest you bring in the bowler who bowls in the first innings.

Thus, I would suggest you get in Jofra if RR bowl first and Mujeeb if Kings XI bowl first.

Jos Buttler has returned to the top of the order and has dished out two wonderful performances for RR. He could be a good buy too but I would put him 3rd in the pecking order after Mujeeb and Jofra, as there seem to be a safer option at the Sawai Maan Singh Stadium.

For the uncapped player, I will get in one from Ankit Rajpoot or Shreyas Gopal, depending on who bowls first.

Now, I already have Chris Gayle, KL Rahul, Andrew Tye, Sanju Samson and Jofra Archer in my side for this game.

I brought in Moeen Ali right before the deadline yesterday, as I hadn’t used my free transfer for the last game.

Again, Mujeeb, Buttler and Stokes will be in my consideration set for this game.

Stokes is the safest option(despite his poor form) because of his all-round abilities. And he is due a big one. Maybe today is the day.

Mujeeb would be second in the pecking order, because of those long boundaries in Jaipur.

In order to get Stokes in I’ll have to make two transfers. I’ll transfer out Moeen Ali and Virat Kohli. Ben Stokes will come in in place of Moeen Ali and I’ll have to bring in a batsman instead of Kohli.

Karun Nair seems like an attractive option, especially because of his form this season, however, I get him in only if KXIP bat first, if KXIP bat second, I get in Suryakumar Yadav from tomorrow’s KKR vs MI game.

Batting Powerplayer- KL Rahul

Bowling Powerplayer- Andrew Tye/Jofra Archer(whoever bowls first)

Happy Team picking!
